ADVANCE -- Archie E. Cantrell, 76, of Advance died Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995, at his home. He was born Feb. 11, 1919, at Leora, son of Henry and Allie Bleakly Cantrell. He married Pearl Jackson on Oct. 21, 1939 at Caruthersville. She survives. He was a retired carpenter, a charter member of the Sturdivant General Baptist Church, and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War...

ADVANCE -- Archie E. Cantrell, 76, of Advance died Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995, at his home.

He was born Feb. 11, 1919, at Leora, son of Henry and Allie Bleakly Cantrell. He married Pearl Jackson on Oct. 21, 1939 at Caruthersville. She survives.

He was a retired carpenter, a charter member of the Sturdivant General Baptist Church, and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.

Other survivors include two sons, Stan and Rodney Cantrell of Advance; a daughter, Shirley Clarkston of Advance; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, and burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
