Anthony Allen Swope, 21, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at his home.
He was born Oct. 30, 1994, in Sandwich, Illinois, son of Rodger "Dale" and Della Moss Swope.
Anthony was a 2013 graduate of Jackson High School. After high school, Anthony worked briefly at McDonald's in Jackson. He enjoyed reading science-fiction books, playing video games, listening to rock-and-roll music, soaking up and relaxing in the outdoors and drawing animation characters. He attended the Church of Christ in Jackson. Anthony will be missed by his family and friends.
Loving survivors include his parents, Rodger "Dale" and Della Swope of Jackson; a brother, Rodger (Trish) Swope of Scopus, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Janie Swope of Piedmont, Missouri; three aunts, Beth Moss of Piedmont, Robin Huff of Jackson and Carol Hovis of Marquand, Missouri; and a niece, Sara Swope.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Allen Swope.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Yount Cemetery in Garwood, Missouri.
