CHARLESTON -- Annie Robinson, 77, of Charleston died Friday, Nov. 1, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born April 21, 1919, in Joiner, Ark., the daughter of James and Erma Doward Clark. On June 7, 1953, she married Joe Robinson, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1972...

CHARLESTON -- Annie Robinson, 77, of Charleston died Friday, Nov. 1, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born April 21, 1919, in Joiner, Ark., the daughter of James and Erma Doward Clark. On June 7, 1953, she married Joe Robinson, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1972.

Robinson had lived in Missouri since 1954. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Pinhook, where she served on the Usher Board.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Jarman of Charleston; one son, Jerome Robinson of Charleston; two brothers, James Clark Jr. of Chicago and Jettie Jones of East Prairie; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends may call from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Baptist Church in Pinhook with the Rev. Rudolph Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
