Anneliese Pincksten, 89, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, with her husband at her side.
She was born in 1926 in Weiden, Germany, to Rudolph and Stephanie Fenzel Schroeder. She and Omer S. Pincksten were married Feb. 5, 1955, at Frohna, Missouri.
Anneliese accompanied her husband on many military assignments to Guam; Hawaii; France; Germany; Fort Riley, Kansas; Scott Air Force Base in Illinois; Little Rock, Arkansas; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Orlando, Florida; and K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan. She had worked at child-care centers at the military bases.
After her husband retired from the U.S. Air Force, they traveled for a year and settled down in Cape Girardeau. They purchased an 18-acre mini farm in Fairdealing, and lived there until her injury from a fall. She later was admitted to the nursing home for therapy.
Survivors include her husband, Omer S. Pincksten of Fairdealing; a daughter, Hannelore L. (Benjamin H.) Quick of Citrus Heights, California; a brother, Karl Schroeder of Weiden; a grandson, Stephen Quick of Pueblo, Colorado; and a great-grandson, Weston D. Quick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Luise Mages; two nephews; a great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Maria Schroeder.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Loren Boettcher officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
