DAISY -- Graveside service for Anne T. Hughes of Daisy will be held at 10 a.m. today at Russell Heights Cemetery. The Rev. Jon Sedgwick will officiate.
Hughes, 73, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Kiev, Ukraine, daughter of Michael and Ksenia Sytune. She and Ollie A. Hughes were married in 1945. He died June 7, 1984.
Hughes moved to Daisy in 1994 from Rome, Ga. She was a quality control inspector at Kay Townes Antanne Co. in Rome 12 years, retiring in 1990. She attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Friese of Daisy; a brother, Peter Sytune of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; three sisters, Lena Belveal of Sointula, British Columbia, Canada, Rose Boyko of Edmonton, Sonya Petry of Waskatenau, Alberta, Canada; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
