Anna Anita Williams, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Leeper, Mo., daughter of Walter and Jettie (Howard) Vaughn. She and Jesse Winslow Williams were married July 25, 1936, in Madison, Ill. He died Oct. 28, 1998.
She and her husband where owners/operators of the Sunset Motel in Cape Girardeau from 1958 to 1976. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and a former member of the Exchangett Club in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Gregory L. Williams of Cape Girardeau; a grandchild, Matthew C. Williams of Gainesville, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Christian A. Williams and Haley N. Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brett Randall officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Yount Cemetery in Garwood, Mo.
