SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Anna Carolina O'Brien, 92, of Scott City died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 29, 1908, at Kelso, Mo., daughter of Phillip and Mary Link Pfefferkorn. She and William Lawrence O'Brien were married Dec. 24, 1937, at Valley Park, Mo. He died July 13, 1993.
O'Brien retired as a cook from St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Phillip O'Brien of Green Valley, Ariz., Larry O'Brien of Scott City, Patrick O'Brien of Benton, Mo.; two daughters, Mary Ann Crump and Theresa Zimmerman of Scott City; a brother, Edward Pfefferkorn of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister, Ellen Shoot of Jacksonville, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 19 great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 6.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
