PULASKI, Ill. -- Funeral service for Anna Mary Tolar of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Pulaski, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski. The Revs. Wayne Crull and Herman Painter will officiate, with burial in Mound City National Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today, and at the church after 9 a.m. Friday.

Tolar, 89, died Tuesday, May 30, 1995, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born April 21, 1906, in Lone Wolf, Ky., daughter of Stephen Porter and Eliza Kinslow Walsh. She and Harry Tolar Sr. were married July 7, 1923. He died Augl 11, 1975.

Tolar was postmaster at Pulaski Post Office 30 years. She was a member of National Association of Postmasters of America, and First Baptist Church in Crestwood, Mo. She was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Church, taught Sunday School more than 40 years, and was a former church clerk.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Conaway of Florissant; two sons, Harry Tolar Jr. of Pulaski, Roy Tolar of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, James Walsh of Hurst; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
