Anna Izattia Ervin Luton, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at 8:40 a.m. at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 23, 1914, in Pulaski County, Ill., daughter of John Wesley Ervin and Viola Isabelle Corzine, who preceded her in death.

She and Charlie Meadows Luton were married Aug. 6, 1932, in Paducah, Ky. He also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Luton was a member of First United Methodist Church of Olmsted, Ill., and charter member of Women's Society of Christian Service.

She and her husband lived in Olmsted many years before moving to Florida after retirement. They later lived in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Luton is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Geittmann of Cape Girardeau; a son, Charles G. Luton of Harstine Island, Shelton, Wash.; four grandchildren, Steve Crain and Jeff Crain of Cape Girardeau, Todd Luton and Scott Luton of Burke, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Crain, Lisa Crain, Olivia Crain and Jeffrey Alan Crain II, all of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were all her sisters and brothers, Ethel Rhude, Mae Goins, Agathel Atherton, Dorothy Miller, Mamie Dick, Elbert and Olen Ervin.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, with the funeral at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Olmsted. The Rev. Joey Dunning will officiate. Burial will be in Cache Chapel Cemetery near Ullin, Ill.

Jones Funeral Home of Villa Ridge, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Olmsted Methodist Church of Cache Chapel Cemetery Fund.
