Anna L. Hodgkiss, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born April 12, 1905, at Benton, Mo., daughter of Louis A. and Mary Scherer LeGrand. She and Thomas Hodgkiss were married Sept. 14, 1926, at Benton. He died in 1970.
Hodgkiss had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1944, and worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Fort D Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Hodgkiss Jr. of Scott City, Mo.; two daughters, Mary Louise Wilson of Gaithersburg, Md., Anna Mae Schlicht of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Regina LeGrand of state of Florida; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. The Rev. Normand Varone will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
