LA MESA, Calif. -- Anna Hitt, 94, of La Mesa died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. She was born June 27, 1924, in Astoria, New York, the daughter of Stefan and Zoe Fatseas. She married Lawrence Clifford Hitt of Cape Girardeau, and he preceded her in death in 1986...
LA MESA, Calif. -- Anna Hitt, 94, of La Mesa died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
She was born June 27, 1924, in Astoria, New York, the daughter of Stefan and Zoe Fatseas. She married Lawrence Clifford Hitt of Cape Girardeau, and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Hitt was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted wife. She was the true matriarch of the family.

She is survived by Stefanie (Walter) Zable, Fabienne (Terry) Hanks, Travis (Rene') Hitt, Joris Hitt and John (Linda) Hitt, all of San Diego. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside service for Anna will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Victor Anokwute officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
