KELSO, Mo. -- Anna Laura Glueck, 93, of Kelso passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 21, 1924, to John and Laura Dirnberger Dohogne. She and Melvin Glueck married Jan. 15, 1946, and they enjoyed 41 years together until his death June 19, 1987...

KELSO, Mo. -- Anna Laura Glueck, 93, of Kelso passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 21, 1924, to John and Laura Dirnberger Dohogne. She and Melvin Glueck married Jan. 15, 1946, and they enjoyed 41 years together until his death June 19, 1987.

Ann filled her days as a homemaker, raising children and working side by side on the farm with Melvin. She was actively engaged in numerous community services and volunteer duties. She and her husband served as first state chair-couple for the Knights of Columbus. Ann was active in the K.C, Auxiliary (tea lady at the Lenten fish fry), Veterans of Foreign Wars, St. Augustine Parish and School, Notre Dame Regional High School, the Nutrition Center and Senior Citizens and was a board member for the City of Kelso.

At Saint Francis Medical Center she was a volunteer, auxilian and a chapel adorer. She was an avid supporter and fan of the Special Olympics. Ann donated blood regularly and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Ann had a special place in her heart for seminarians and sponsored several over the years. Her favorites are the Rev. John Harth, also known as her other son, and her nephew, the Rev. David Dohogne.

She leaves behind five children, Linda Bollinger of Benton, Missouri, Judy and Dave Christoff of Chesterfield, Missouri, Lana Arnzen of Scott City, Fred (Rhonda Holshouser) Glueck of Cape Girardeau and Roger and Vicky Glueck of Marmaduke, Arkansas. Ann is survived by two brothers, John (Marilyn) Dohogne and Jim Dohogne. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband; two sons-in-law, Jim Bollinger and Ervin Arnzen; and a granddaughter, Jessica Arnzen. She also was preceded in death by her sisters, Bert Pobst, Lucy Caby and Renie Todt; and a sister-in-law, Mary Dohogne.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at St. Augustine Church in Kelso. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Revs. David Dohogne, John Harth and Joseph Weidenbenner as con-celebrants. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
