Anna C. Blattel, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born June 12, 1931, in Fornfelt, Missouri, to Homer B. and Alena A. Scherer Dyer. She and Leon Joseph Blattel were married Nov. 12, 1949, at St. Joseph Church in Fornfelt.
She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral, St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women and Do-Bee's Extension Club.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Blattel of Cape Girardeau; sons, Michael (Teresa) Blattel of Cape Girardeau and Kenneth (Amy) Blattel of Scott City; a sister, Margaret Stone of Cape Girardeau; five granddaughters, Tara (Francis) Alvarez, Tracy (Nick) Dannenmueller, Sara (Michael) Vandeven, Emily (Jared Weiss) Blattel and Katie Blattel; and four great-grandchildren, Mavis, Julian, Devin and Collin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Blattel; brother, Homer Dyer; and sister, Viola Wilson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 6:15 p.m., with Knights of Columbus Rosary immediately following.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary Cathedral.
