Anna Balsman

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Anna Maudell Balsman, 87, of Perryville died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at Perry Oaks Manor.

She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Perry County, daughter of Theodore B. Lukefahr and Mary Julia Valleroy Lukefahr. She and Earl T. Balsman were married May 12, 1945, at Highland, Mo.

Balsman was a mailing clerk 30 years at the Association of the Miraculous Medal. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Madonna Snelson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a son, Roger Balsman of St. Louis; and a brother, Marvin Lukefahr of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday from 6:30 to 10:50 a.m. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. Monday. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
