BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Anna Elizabeth Allen, 95, of Buncombe died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Ill. She was born Jan. 29, 1912, in Goreville, Ill., daughter of Basil and Rhoda Stanley Billingsley. She and Charles Allen were married April 30, 1936. He died June 11, 1980...

BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Anna Elizabeth Allen, 95, of Buncombe died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Ill.

She was born Jan. 29, 1912, in Goreville, Ill., daughter of Basil and Rhoda Stanley Billingsley. She and Charles Allen were married April 30, 1936. He died June 11, 1980.

Prior to her marriage she was a maid and nanny in St. Louis. She was a member of Faith in Jesus Fellowship.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth James of Buncombe; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Dale Parker and Dee Armes officiating. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery in Johnson County.
