Ann M. Loyd, 86, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at Elder Care of Marble Hill, Mo. She was born July 28, 1918, at Crump, daughter of Louis and Laura Meyer Abbott. She and William E. Loyd were married Feb. 26, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1981...

Ann M. Loyd, 86, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at Elder Care of Marble Hill, Mo.

She was born July 28, 1918, at Crump, daughter of Louis and Laura Meyer Abbott. She and William E. Loyd were married Feb. 26, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1981.

Loyd was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mark "Bo" and Gail Loyd of Dothan, Ala.; a daughter, Marsha "Sue" Wilkin of Centralia, Ill.; a sister, Lillian Sander of Millersville; five grandchildren, Jean Ann Loyd, Katrece and Chelsea Wilkin, Travis and Katie Loyd; great-granddaughter Taylor Winkler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael, and an infant son, Marion.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Jerry Sander and Steven Sander officiating. Graveside services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation.
