SIKESTON, Mo. -- Elizabeth Ann Davis, 72, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at her home following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Osceola, Ark., to the late W.P. and Lucille Tucker Lee. She married the Rev. Larry G. Davis on Sept. 15, 1957, in Chaffee, Mo...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Elizabeth Ann Davis, 72, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Osceola, Ark., to the late W.P. and Lucille Tucker Lee. She married the Rev. Larry G. Davis on Sept. 15, 1957, in Chaffee, Mo.

She was a member and associate pastor of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston and was head of the women's ministry at the church. She was active in the Christian Women's Association in Sikeston. She previously worked as a floral designer for Dalton Florist in Jackson and the Flower Basket in Sikeston.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Rick Davis of Dexter, Mo.; three sisters, Faye Riley of Valmeyer, Ill., Martha Suedmeyer of Jackson and Mary Beadles of Waxahatchie, Texas; three grandchildren, Ryan and Ella Davis of Dexter, Lauren Davis of Sikeston; two great-grandchildren, Kendall Davis and Amelia Davis, both of Dexter; and three special friends, Robyn, Jim and Cassie Hindman of Chaffee.

One sister, Naomi, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with her nephew, the Rev. Michael Haman of Baton Rouge, La., officiating. He will be assisted by Dr. Kevin Atkinson of Searcy, Ark.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bryant, Jim Hindman, Larry Wilson, Doug Copeland, Matt Gadberry and Don King.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
