Charles Andrew "Andy" Juden Jr., 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Life Care Center.

He was born Jan. 26, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, to Charles Andrew and Cleo Magness Juden Sr. He attended St. Vincent Grade School and Central High School. After graduation from Central he attended the University of Missouri at Columbia.

He and Jeanette Hosea were married Dec. 25, 1954, at Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau.

Andy joined his father in the family's farm and real estate management business. He was active in Lions Club, Cape Girardeau Country Club and Elks Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited 25 years, and also a member of The Navy League.

He was chairman of the Main Street Levee District Board, which kept downtown Cape Girardeau dry when the river was at flood stage. He retired from the district when the city assumed the task of running the pumping station.

Loving survivors include his wife, Jeanette; two sons, Charles Andrew "Drew" Juden III of Sikeston, Missouri, and David Guild Juden of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Jill Pigott of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Julia Basham of Thornton, Colorado; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his dog, Fritz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; and a daughter, Rebecca, who was 2.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

There will be a private family service and interment Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Crown Hospice or the charity of your choice.
