Andrew Boston, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 29, 1916, in Porter, Okla., son of Franklin D. and Lottie Bell Boston. He and Jeanette Christopher were married in 1940 in Atascadero, Calif. She preceded him in death.

Boston worked at Waterman Industries in Exeter, Calif., retiring in 1984. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Chaffee, Mo., and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.

He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Boston of Massachusetts, Donald Boston of Seoul, South Korea; three daughters, Doris Jones of San Jose, Calif., Carol Carter of Cape Girardeau, Glinda Bartlett of Jackson; a brother, Kenneth Boston of Milbrae, Calif.; a friend, Freda Nall of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may all at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with military rites by VFW Post 3838.
