Amy Sue Morningstar, 17, 3917 Carolewood, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center, from a gunshot wound received Sunday night in Scott City.

She was born Feb. 21, 1977, in Granite City, Ill., daughter of Gary L. and Joan Hawley Morningstar.

Amy had attended Central High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk, Iowa.

Survivors include her parents; a brother, Pfc. Shawn Morningstar of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and a sister, Stacy Morningstar of Orlando, Fla.

There is no visitation.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
