Amy Mills Haman, 103, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Ratcliff Care Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1899, at Thebes, Ill., daughter of C. Monroe and Mary Elizabeth McCrite Buster. She and Walter W. Mills were married Nov. 24, 1919. He died March 5, 1954. She and William Heiple were married May 2, 1957. He died in 1971. She and Chester Haman were married July 1, 1975. He died March 21, 1993...

Amy Mills Haman, 103, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Ratcliff Care Center.

She was born Dec. 12, 1899, at Thebes, Ill., daughter of C. Monroe and Mary Elizabeth McCrite Buster. She and Walter W. Mills were married Nov. 24, 1919. He died March 5, 1954. She and William Heiple were married May 2, 1957. He died in 1971. She and Chester Haman were married July 1, 1975. He died March 21, 1993.

Haman was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years at Foursquare Church in Cape Girardeau. She was active in Fort D Senior Citizen Club. She was also a member of Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Jerlene Mills of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Leslie Kaye Welker of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Leona Cluff of Brookhaven, Pa.; three stepsons, James Haman, Leslie Haman and Charles Haman, all of Cape Girardeau; 12 stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 19 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles F. Mills, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Derek Staples officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Cape Girardeau.
