JONESBORO, Ill. -- Amy Elizabeth Young Carhart, 83, of Jonesboro died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Union County, daughter of John and Virginia Clark Mays. She married Ivory L. Young, who died in 1937. She later married Alfred Carhart, who died in 1945...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Amy Elizabeth Young Carhart, 83, of Jonesboro died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at her home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Union County, daughter of John and Virginia Clark Mays. She married Ivory L. Young, who died in 1937. She later married Alfred Carhart, who died in 1945.

Carhart was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Freddy Young of Salt Lake City, Utah, Harold Young of Bossier City, La.; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
