Amos C. Moore Jr., 63, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1951, in Steele, Missouri, to the late Amos Cornelius and Effie Lee Green Moore. He and Barbara Jean Hayes were married April 29, 1993, at Hermandale, Missouri.
Amos graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin. He retired after 20 years with Harley-Davidson Motor Co. He was a member of Cape Bible Chapel.
He loved to fish, work on his truck and keep it looking sharp, and travel with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Moore of Cape Girardeau; a son, Anthony Moore of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Sheila Moore of Parma, Missouri, and Sharon Moore of Steele; two stepdaughters, Willahemia Gilliom and Valerie Williams; five brothers, Eddie (Pat) Moore, John (Deborah) Moore, Dean (Ruth) Moore, all of Milwaukee, Dennis (Tracy) Moore of Nashville, Tennessee, and Robert (Anita) Moore of Kennett, Missouri; three sisters, Erma Gilmore of Milwaukee, Ernestine (James) Morris of Steele and Ann (Neugene) Stanley of Milwaukee; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Cape Bible Chapel.
The funeral be at noon Saturday at the church, with Dan Greene and the Rev. James Green officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
