LEOPOLD -- Funeral for Amon James "Bus" Seabaugh of Leopold will be held at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The Revs. Curtis Allen and Billy Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 5900 of Marble Hill.
Seabaugh, 71, died Monday, March 22, 1999, at his home.
He was born Nov. 6, 1927, at Allenville, son of Amon Edward and Dollie Smith Seabaugh. He and Iva Faye Gibbons were married Feb. 24, 1950. She died April 26, 1994.
Seabaugh was a farmer, and member of VFW Post 5900. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include four sons, Larry and Richard Seabaugh of Whitewater, Roger Seabaugh of Leopold, Alan Seabaugh of Chaffee; four daughters, Melody Green of Burfordville, Linda Colbert of Jackson, Mary Brown of Gravel Hill, and Judy Friese of Scott City.
Also surviving are three brothers, Alvin Seabaugh of Crump, Don and John Seabaugh of Whitewater; three sisters, Ruby Hester and Betty Hicks of Chaffee, Carolyn Gibbons of Leopold; 26 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren.
