VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Ameda Jackson, 95, of Villa Ridge, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre, Mo.
She was born Sept. 5, 1910, in America, Ill., daughter of Rudolph and Carolyn Studer Schnaare. She married Glen Jackson, who died April 2, 1971.
Jackson was a correspondent with Cairo Evening Citizen many years. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Olmsted, Ill., and member of its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include a son, Dallas Jackson Sr. of Mounds, Ill.; a sister, Betty Rennekamp of Mattoon, Ill.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two half brothers.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Luke's Church, with the Rev. Carl Miller officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.
Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
