SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Alyssa Renee Wiggins, 20, of Springfield, formerly of Waynesville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at her home in Springfield.
Alyssa was born Oct. 25, 1994, in Fort Stewart, Georgia, to loving parents Daniel and Carla Wiggins.
She graduated from Waynesville High School in 2013 and received her associate degree from Ozark Technical College in Springfield in May 2015. Alyssa had worked at the Battlefield Mall Chick-fil-A in Springfield since August 2014, where she quickly moved up to Team Lead and was being trained for a manager position. She loved her job and the people she worked with and had proven to be a very effective leader.
Alyssa loved playing her guitar and singing. She loved spending time with family and friends and had just gone on a road trip earlier this year with friends to the Grand Canyon.
The loss of Alyssa has left a hole in the hearts of so many who loved her that will never be filled.
Survivors include her parents; two brothers, Marcus and Zachary Wiggins; grandparents, Judith Wilfong Rayburn, Barbara Riehn Brotherton and Robert Wiggins; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Franklin Rayburn Jr. Alyssa now rejoices with him in Heaven.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
