SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Funeral for Alvina Kern of Overland, Mo., was held Sept. 28, 2000, at St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Creve Coeur, Mo. The Revs. Herbert Stemler and A. Mark Friz officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery at Olivette, Mo.
Baumann Colonial Chapel in Overland was in charge of arrangements.
Kern, 85, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, in Chesterfield, Mo.
She was born Nov. 26, 1914, at Sedgewickville, daughter of Zack Asbury and Cora Crader Seabaugh. She married Herman G. Kern.
Kern was a graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Overland many years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Church and its Women's Fellowship, senior citizens, a homemakers extension club and Home Chapter 313.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Judith Graeler of Chesterfield, Kathy Board of Wappapello, Mo.; a brother, Bob Seabaugh of Marble Hill, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
