Alvin Leon Robinson, 57, of Cape Girardeau died suddenly Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at his home, of an apparent heart attack.
He was born May 9, 1943, in Lonoke, Ark., son of Woodie and Annie Mae Terry Robinson.
Robinson was a 1961 graduate of O'Bannon High School in New Madrid, Mo. He was a retired over-the-road driver with Overnight Transportation Co. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-67.
Survivors include his father of Sikeston, Mo.; five brothers, Larry and Leonard Robinson of Jackson, Tenn., Woodie Robinson Jr. of Elizabethtown, Ky., Donald and Jimmy Robinson of St. Louis; two sisters, Bertha Robinson of Jackson, Tenn., and Lynda Davis of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Larry Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from noon until service time.
