Alvin Jaco, 79, of Missouri Veterans Home, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Golconda, Ill., son of Cressie and Bertha Adkinson Jaco. He first married Clara Phillips in 1942, in McClure. She preceded him in death. He later married Ruby Seabaugh Dec. 11, 1969, in Cape Girardeau. She died July 17, 1990...

Alvin Jaco, 79, of Missouri Veterans Home, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Golconda, Ill., son of Cressie and Bertha Adkinson Jaco. He first married Clara Phillips in 1942, in McClure. She preceded him in death. He later married Ruby Seabaugh Dec. 11, 1969, in Cape Girardeau. She died July 17, 1990.

Jaco was a retired engineer with Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, VFW, and Eagles. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received the Good Conduct Medal with four Bronze Stars and six Overseas Service Bars.

Survivors include a daughter, Emma Green of Cahokia, Ill., and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Gallamore officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
