MORLEY, Mo. -- Alvin Eugene Ferrenburg, 71, of Morley died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at his home.
Born July 24, 1941, in St. Louis to the late Lester Eugene and Marian Westcoat Ferrenburg, he retired from Super Value, where he was a forklift operator. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was an active member of the Morley VFW Post 5368 and a member of Morley Church of God.
On Feb. 22, 1963, in Morley, he married Marjorie Abernathy, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are one son, Scott Ferrenburg of Morley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Toni and Don Orrell of Fordland, Mo., and Tracy and Jon Burden of Sikeston, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Josh Pirtle, Alec Burden, Ty Burden, Emily Orrell and Aaron Orrell.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary "Cookie" Ferrenburg.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morley Church of God, with Pastor Larry Jackson officiating.
Interment will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
Pallbearers will be Curt Poore, Mark Poore, Caleb Pruitt, Rodney Bridger, Fred Anderson and Brent Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Morgan and Jim Farrenburg and grandsons Alec Burden, Ty Burden and Joshua Pirtle.
