Alverta Leiner, 89 of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Scott City, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010, at her home after a short illness.

She was born July 14, 1920, in Kelso, Mo., daughter of Landra and Dora Drury.

She retired from Riverside Regional Library in Scott City after 25 years of service.

She is survived by two daughters, Glenda O'Laughlin and Janice Calhoun, both of Clearwater; a brother, Leander Drury of St Louis;, six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Leiner; and son Randy Leiner of Imperial, Mo.

Funeral services are today in Clearwater, Fla.
