ADVANCE -- Altia N. Haskins , 96, of Advance died Saturday, July 27, 1996, at the Advance Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 8, 1899, at Leora, daughter of William N. and Polly A. Lufcy Ross. ADVANCE -- Altia N. Haskins , 96, of Advance died Saturday, July 27, 1996, at the Advance Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 8, 1899, at Leora, daughter of William N. and Polly A. Lufcy Ross.

She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Advance Order of Eastern Star and the Bloomfield American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Arthur Haskins on Dec. 3, 1977, at Advance. He died Nov. 19, 1982.

She is survived by a son, Austin Johnson of Puxico; two daughters, Ann Elfrink of Advance and Amy Milcoun of Canton, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, five brothers and four sisters.

Service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Gerald King officiating. Interment will be in Fagan Cemetery near Leora.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
