ALTA B. BLUMENBERG

JACKSON -- Alta B. Blumenberg, 92, of Jackson, died Monday, May 2, 1994, at Heartland Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 30, 1902, at Gordonville, daughter of Arthur L. and Cora Lape Kinder. She and Walter W. Blumenberg were married Oct. 18, 1922. He died Sept. 19, 1991.

Blumenberg was a cook with Fleet Towing Co. from 1952-59. She moved to Jackson in 1960 from Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Whitewater United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a half brother, William "Dan" Hampton of Cape Girardeau, and a half sister, Wilma Statler of Little Rock, Ark.

She was preceded in death by a sister, brother and half brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
