BENTON, Mo. -- The funeral for Alpha Faye Freeman of Benton will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Bill Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Mo.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Freeman, 93, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born April 5, 1909, at Center Ridge, Ark., daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Nutie Halbrook Bryant. She and Lee Ervin Freeman were married May 24, 1925, in Martinville, Ark. He died May 14, 1977.
Freeman was a member of Church of Christ at Morley.
Survivors include a son, Ulyess Freeman of Benton; two daughters, Margie Grant and Dean Schiwitz of Benton; two brothers, Robert and Verlan Bryant of Malden, Mo.; two sisters, Macel Sargent of El Sobrante, Calif., Illa Palladino of Conway, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, four brothers and three sisters.
