Graveside service for Alonzo W. Rumfelt Sr. of Middletown, Calif., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at High Hill Cemetery at Neelys Landing, Mo. The Rev. Mike Huffman will officiate.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
Rumfelt, 82, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1919, at Neelys Landing, son of Robert and Mary McCain Rumfelt.
Rumfelt retired from Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif., in 1963, and retired in the 1980s from Harold Smith Construction in Middletown.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Rumfelt of Lakeport, Calif., Alonzo Rumfelt Jr. of Redway, Calif.; two daughters, Mary Wilson and Karen Redekar of Napa Valley, Calif.; three sisters, Hannah Cotner and Joanne Johnson of Cape Girardeau, and Hallie Pinkerton of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
