Almeda Garmon, 82, of Jackson passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Plumerville, Ark., daughter of Clifton and Winnie Brewer Davis. She married Willie Garmon, who passed away in 2008.

Almeda loved her family very much and enjoyed cooking, knitting and quilting.

Loving survivors include her children, Willie Mae White of St. Louis, Tommy Lee (Kathleen) Garmon of Decatur, Ill., Dorothy Duncan of St. Louis, Dr. David Allen (Carla) Garmon Jordan of St. Louis, Charles Garmon of Cape Girardeau, Melvin (Tammy) Jones of North Carolina, Jody Jones, Gary Jones, Richie (Kim) Jones of Jackson; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and friends.

She was preceded in death by three children, Ann McIntyre, Larry Garmon and Billie Faye Davis.

Friends may call from noon to service time Saturday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
