PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alma A. Pecaut, 89, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in St. Mary, Missouri, the daughter of Vallie and Lillian (Duvall) Lawrence. She and Robert E. Pecaut Sr. were married on Oct. 23, 1948. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 2015.
Alma worked in housekeeping at Perry County Memorial Hospital and also at the St. Vincent de Paul rectory. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity and Western Catholic Union.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Kathy) Pecaut Jr. and Larry (Carolyn) Pecaut, all of Perryville, and Tim (Terri) Pecaut of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; a sister, Mary (Michael) Kertz of Ste. Genevieve; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Alysha Pecaut; and a brother, Joseph V. Lawrence.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent schools or Masses.
