BURFORDVILLE, Mo. -- Alma Elvira Lange, 86, of Burfordville died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at her daughter's home in Burfordville. She was born July 14, 1914, at Tilsit, Mo., daughter of Henry C. and Bertha Nagel Ahrens. She and Paul H. Lange were married Nov. 30, 1941. He died Aug. 22, 1990...

BURFORDVILLE, Mo. -- Alma Elvira Lange, 86, of Burfordville died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at her daughter's home in Burfordville.

She was born July 14, 1914, at Tilsit, Mo., daughter of Henry C. and Bertha Nagel Ahrens. She and Paul H. Lange were married Nov. 30, 1941. He died Aug. 22, 1990.

Lange was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. She was also involved in the church's Ladies Aid. Lange had formerly worked as a cook for 11 years at St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Linus Lange of St. Charles, Mo., and Aaron Lange of Jackson; a daughter, Wanda Matthews of Burfordville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today and at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit after 12:30 p.m. Monday .

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. The Rev. Don Reder will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
