SCOTT CITY -- Alma Rose Jackson, 92, of Scott City died Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 21, 1904, at Fornfelt, daughter of John and Saloma Hahn Hoffman. She and Clarence Louis Jackson were married Aug. 13, 1921, in Scott City. He died Nov. 13, 1974.
Jackson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, and VFW Auxiliary to Post 6407.
Survivors include two sons, Vincent Jackson of Affton, Joseph Jackson of Thebes, Ill.; five daughters, Lillian Blattel of Cape Girardeau, Ann Hamilton of Renault, Ill., Rose Mary Kjer and Jeannie Martin of Scott City, Florence Harris of Troy, N.C.; 30 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, three sisters, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 6:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
