CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Alma Louise Harmon, 89, of Chaffee died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 19, 1915, at Chaffee, daughter of Otis Alma and Mabel Jennie White Keller. She and DeWitt Wilson Harmon were married March 27, 1976. He preceded her in death April 8, 2000.
Mrs. Harmon retired from Harmon Furniture Store. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Chamber of Commerce, and charter member of Chaffee Business and Professional Women's Club.
Survivors include a stepson, James V. (Linda) Harmon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister, Lucille Brooks of Mitchell, Ill.; five nieces, Judy Rushing, Peggy Masters, Becky Chandler, Mary Brooks, Barbara Danheiser; three nephews, Jim Brooks, Douglas Brooks, David Brooks; two stepgranddaughters; two great-stepgranddaughters; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Keller and Juanita Bentley; a brother, Otis Keller; and a niece, Patricia Bentley.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
