Alma H. Burger, 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1994, at Ratliff Nursing Home. She was born July 28, 1915, in Advance, daughter of William Cleveland and Bessie Susan Reed Hinkle. She and William Henry Burger were married April 22, 1935, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 16, 1955...

Alma H. Burger, 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1994, at Ratliff Nursing Home.

She was born July 28, 1915, in Advance, daughter of William Cleveland and Bessie Susan Reed Hinkle. She and William Henry Burger were married April 22, 1935, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 16, 1955.

Burger was a graduate of the former Broadway Beauty School. She was a beautician 20 years at Kathleen's Beauty Shop on Sprigg Street, retiring two years ago. She had also been involved many years with the family business, the former Burger Bakery on Broadway.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kinnaw of Fenton; a brother, Charlie Hinkle of Advance; three sisters including her twin, Sally Finger, and Nettie Fulbright of Cape Girardeau, Betty Phillips of St. Louis, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. C.E. Fleshman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
