ALMA C. HEURING

BENTON -- Alma Cecilia Heuring, 82, of Benton, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 1995, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.

She was born March 27, 1912, at Commerce, daughter of George and Katherine Glueck Scherer. She and Edward John Heuring were married Sept. 1, 1931, in New Hamburg. He died Aug. 3, 1976.

Heuring was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, and Benton Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two daughters, Ellen LaCroix of Advance, Mary Margrabe of Benton; a brother, Cletus Scherer of Benton; three sisters, Caroline Robert and Armella McClain of Kelso, Marcella Schlitt of Oran; three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, three sisters, and two half brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton after 5 p.m. today. The parish rosary will be at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Denis Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
