JACKSON -- Alma Bell, formerly of Vienna, Ill., died Friday morning at Jackson Manor.
Bell, 90, was born in Stone County, Ark., on Nov. 19, 1906, daughter of Charles and Isabelle Hines Branscum. She married George Bell, who preceded her in death on June 25, 1980.
She was a retired cook for Tunnel Hill School and Hillview Health Care Center, and a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. She was a 50-year member of Johnson County Republican Women.
Bell is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Faulkner of Golconda, Ill.; and four sons, Hartley M. Bell of Patton, Mo., Robert D. Bell of Scottsville, Ky., William Bell of Decatur, Ill., and James L. Bell of Overland Park, Kansas.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Aly Funeral Home in Vienna. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Vienna.
