ANNA, Ill. -- Alline McCommons, 86, of Anna died Friday, July 28, 2006, at Sherman West Court in Elgin, Ill. She was born Aug. 14, 1919, at Jonesboro, Ill., daughter of Charles and Myrtle Hurst Robertson. She and Paul A. Coffman were married in 1939; he died in 1948. She married Don F. McCommons in 1953, and he died in 1995...

ANNA, Ill. -- Alline McCommons, 86, of Anna died Friday, July 28, 2006, at Sherman West Court in Elgin, Ill.

She was born Aug. 14, 1919, at Jonesboro, Ill., daughter of Charles and Myrtle Hurst Robertson. She and Paul A. Coffman were married in 1939; he died in 1948. She married Don F. McCommons in 1953, and he died in 1995.

McCommons was a member of First Christian Church in Anna and had worked as a school cook.

Survivors include a son, Paul A. Coffman of Elgin, a daughter, Janet Sue McCommons of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Dee Armes officiating. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery.
