Allen George Koelzer, 64, of Scott City died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at his home.
He was born Oct. 17, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of George and Ethel Held Koelzer.
Allen grew up in Cape Girardeau and worked at Superior Electric many years. He also worked at Procter & Gamble as a security guard and then at Kelly School District in maintenance. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City.
Survivors include two sisters, Kay (Gilbert) Boren of McClure, Ill., Carolyn Taylor of Cape Girardeau; two nephews, Brian Schneider and Ryan Boren; and a niece, Sara Boren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Schneider.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at Eisleben Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
