Allen Scott Harrell, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Dallas, Texas, son of Allen and Nellie Osborne Harrell. He and Edna M. Strickland were married June 16, 1936, in Kechi, Kan. She died Feb. 12, 2002.
Harrell was a conductor 33 years with Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in June 1977. He was a member of Wichita Bible Church in Wichita, Kan., and American Legion in Emporia, Kan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Eldridge of Cape Girardeau; a son, James Harrell of Wheaton, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Downing and Lahey Funeral Home in Wichita from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Beahm officiating. Burial will be in Kechi Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
