ORAN -- Allana Justine Hulshof, 67, of Oran died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 15, 1932, at Coral Gables, Fla., daughter of Arthur and Louise Metts Sole. She and Joseph Hulshof were married April 18, 1956.
She and her husband owned and operated Perkins Feed and Fertilizer for 26 years before retiring. They were named Missouri Farm Family of the Year in 1968. She was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church at Oran and a charter member of Guardian Angel Parish Council, St. Ann Sodality, K.C. etts and was a C.C.D. instructor. Hulshof also belonged to the University of Missouri Home Extension and served as a leader for local 4-H groups for eight years.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Glenn Hulshof of Benton, Mark Hulshof of Dexter, Michael Hulshof of Oran and Philip Hulshof of Chaffee; a daughter, Cheryl McLaughlin of Lee's Summit; a sister, Jean Ferrell of Philomath, Ore.; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran. Parish prayers will be at 7 and K.C. prayers at 7:30.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church. The Rev. David Hulshof will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Lewis Hejna. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery at Oran.
