BENTON, Mo. -- John "Allan" Jackson, 69, of Benton passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 29, 1947, in Kennett, Missouri, to John Huel and Marjorie Lynn Jackson. He married Diane Ledure on March 24, 1988, in Jackson.
He was a bail bondsman for Chuck Telle and was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of arts in business administration.
He had served in the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Jackson; his parents, Huel and Margie Jackson of Kennett; a son, John "Scott" (Kelly) Jackson of Flowery Branch, Georgia; a daughter, Kerri (Michael) Molter of Cumming, Georgia; three brothers, Larry Jackson of Lilbourn, Missouri, Darrell Jackson of Rogersville, Missouri, and Randy Jackson of Kennett; and five grandchildren, Alex, Tommy, Justin, Audrey and Presley.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Elmer Coffey and Chuck Telle officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso, Missouri, with full military honors.
