Aline Hess

Aline Marie Hess, 78, of Delta went peacefully to be with our heavenly Lord on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, surrounded by her three loving children.

She was born July 14, 1931, at Himmel, Mo., daughter of John and Gladys Lingle Baker. She and Roy Earl Hess were married May 17, 1946. He preceded her in death Aug. 16, 1993.

Aline and Earl were business owners in Delta for many years. She also worked at the Chaffee hospital for many years and later for Delta schools. She was a member of Randles General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her three children, Virginia (Dennis) Robertson of Chaffee, Mo., Patricia (Bill) Talley of Cape Girardeau and Doug (Darla) Hess of Delta; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Baker and Gene Baker, both of Sikeston, Mo., and William Baker of Chaffee; two sisters, Wilma Pennington of Puxico, Mo., and Hazel Carroll of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bob Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Mo.
