Alice Mary Wilson, 96, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 7, 1990, in Williamson County, Ill., the daughter of Joseph Charles and Nellie Davidson Burks.
Wilson was a cook in Dearmont Hall at Southeast Missouri State University for 15 years, retiring in 1971.
She was a former member of Four Square Gospel Church where she served as a deaconess. She was also a member of RAKKASAN'S 187th Airborne Regiment Combat Team, a life member of VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 63 Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers.
She is survived by two sons, Norris D. Wilson of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Ronald R. Wilson of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Shirley J. Link of St. Louis and JoAnne Duncan of Santa Cruz, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Velma Wilson of Santa Maria, Calif.; son-in-law, John Piraino of Koshkonong, Mo.; 26 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Wilson and Norman Wilson; one daughter, Rosemary Piraino; two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be at the Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may be made to Wilson Elementary School.
